Noulai Medical successfully performed surgical treatment for cerebral palsy patients in Malaysia

In the early hours of November 4, 2023, the ward of the Norland International Medical Center welcomed the Ho family from Malaysia. The child underwent surgery on the 6th and is currently in good condition. This marks another case of overseas cerebral palsy treatment by Norway Medical following the end of the pandemic, following a child from Russia.

For ten hours, they journeyed in hope. Hao Hao was born in Malaysia and is now five years old. Since being diagnosed with cerebral palsy, his parents have diligently explored various options, besides regular rehabilitation training, longing to find the most effective and suitable treatment plan for their child.

"Malaysia lacks experts in treating such conditions, and we couldn't find very professional treatment locally. So, we took our child to many countries in search of solutions. We even underwent several surgeries during this time, but almost none had any effect," said Hao Hao's mother, expressing her helplessness. "Once, it struck me that since it's a brain issue, the treatment should focus on the brain. So, I searched online on international websites for surgical methods, and I actually found something. I came across an article about Professor Tian Zengmin from Noulai Medical performing stereotactic brain surgery. It seemed very professional and safe. In the article, I saw that many children from China and abroad had undergone the surgery with excellent results, which boosted our confidence. We quickly made the decision to bring our child here for treatment," Hao Hao's father excitedly recounted their medical journey.

On the afternoon of November 6th, Professor Tian Zengmin performed a robot-assisted, frameless stereotactic brain surgery for Hao Hao. The surgery lasted for only about 30 minutes, leaving only a 0.5-millimeter needle hole and suture marks. After the surgery, Hao Hao quickly regained consciousness and was in good spirits. Hao Hao's parents were very satisfied with the surgical process and the attentive care they received during their stay at the hospital, expressing their gratitude to the medical staff repeatedly.

Since December 2019, Noulai Medical has been actively practicing social responsibility by combining technological innovation with social responsibility, bringing new hope to over 1200 families nationwide. Collaborating with the China Health Promotion Foundation and the Shandong Provincial Federation of Disabled Persons, Norland Medical has launched the "New Hope" national public welfare project for children with cerebral palsy. Up to now, the project has reached 16 provinces, 58 cities, and 97 counties, including Beijing, Xinjiang, Qinghai, Tibet, Chongqing, and Shandong, conducting over 1000 offline screening activities. These efforts have provided medical services and assistance to more than 20,000 children with cerebral palsy, with over 2500 professional assessments conducted and more than 1200 children successfully treated.

Combining a sense of great power responsibility with a global perspective, Noulai Medical has been instrumental in advancing the international rehabilitation of children with brain disorders. In recent years, Professor Tian Zengmin's team has performed surgical treatments for over 110 children with cerebral palsy from 36 countries. Meanwhile, Norland Medical has established international service standards and developed a system of humanistic care, providing considerate services for both international and domestic patients.

During their stay at the hospital, Chairman and General Manager Wang Chuan of Noulai Medical, along with Professor Tian Zengmin and others, visited Hao Hao's ward to offer their condolences. In this room filled with hope, exchanges of Chinese-Malaysian culture and friendship were fostered and flourished.
